Focus On: Searching Historical Newspaper Databases (genealogy class) In-Person

Genealogy research isn’t just about birth, marriage and death dates! Learn how to research newspaper databases for stories that will add context and color to your family histories. This class will include an overview of the historical newspaper collections available online through the Carlsbad City Library, including Newspapers.com World Collection (aka Library Edition), Heritage Hub, America’s Historical Newspapers, and the “TimesMachine” at NYTimes.com.

This class is for ages 13 and older, and will be held in the upstairs Computer Lab at the Library Learning Center located at 3368 Eureka Place in Carlsbad. This is a hands on computer class.

A Carlsbad City Library card with internet privileges is required. If you have any questions please call the Genealogy & Carlsbad History desk 442-339-2931.
