Graphic Design: InDesign for Beginners (3 of 4) In-Person

Adobe InDesign is a dynamic multifaceted graphics software.  Its dominance in the graphic arts industry is unmatched and is used to create the majority of printed materials today.  Do you want to learn how to create page templates and layouts?  Or how to import and edit text using style sheets?  Sign up for this four week class series and get an initial overview of InDesign and then continue to build your knowledge each week on a different aspect of the software.  Photos, illustrations and other kinds of imagery will be explored.  You will create an InDesign project from scratch and learn how to print and export your page design.

The course consists of four classes taught on consecutive Wednesday evenings. Please register for all four classes. The instruction is progressive, so please attend all four classes on Oct. 4, 11, 18 & 25.

Week 1: An overview of InDesign with emphasis on creating page templates and layouts.
Week 2: We will focus on typography and how to import and edit text efficiently using style sheets.
Week 3: Photos, illustrations and other kinds of imagery will be explored.
Week 4: We’re going to create an InDesign project from scratch. We will also cover how to print and export your page designs.
